The short version
Your child's profile and results are stored only in your browser's local storage, on your device. They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we could not sell that data even if we wanted to, because we never receive it. We have no accounts, no server-side database for your screening, and no advertising. We do use privacy-respecting analytics to see which pages are used, and only if you accept (see below).
What is stored on your device
- • The child profile you create (first name or nickname, age, country, and any optional background details).
- • Module results and the screening-depth setting.
Clearing your browser's site data removes all of it permanently. We recommend using a first name or nickname only.
Backup files
The optional “Download backup file” feature saves a copy of the profile and results to a file youcontrol. Treat it like any document containing information about your child: store it securely, and share it only with people you trust (for example, your child's teacher or psychologist).
PDF, share and email features
Report PDFs are generated entirely on your device. The Share button uses your device's own share sheet; the Email button opens your own mail app with a summary you can review before sending. In both cases the content goes only where you send it.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand which pages people visit and how the site performs. Analytics is set to denied by defaultusing Google Consent Mode, so no analytics cookies are set until you choose “Accept” on the banner. We store one small item to remember that choice. None of this includes your child's profile or screening results, which never leave your device.
We collect aggregate, non-identifying usage events (for example, a report was viewed or a module was completed), never the content of a result. You can decline analytics, or clear your site data at any time. If we ever add optional accounts or payments, this policy will be updated first, and any new data collection will be opt-in and clearly explained.
Children's data
The screening is completed by children, with a parent or carer setting it up and consenting. Because nothing leaves the device, no children's personal information is collected by us under privacy legislation including the Australian Privacy Act, the GDPR or COPPA.
