1. What GiraffeLens is, and is not
GiraffeLens is an educational screening tool. It indicates how a child performs against age expectations on original, screening-grade activities, and whether a full professional assessment may be worth pursuing. It is not a diagnostic instrument, a psychological or medical service, or a substitute for advice from a registered or licensed professional. No result on this site constitutes a diagnosis of ADHD, a specific learning disorder, autism or any other condition.
2. Appropriate use
- • The screening must be set up and supervised by a parent, carer or teacher of the child.
- • Results reflect performance on one occasion and vary with mood, sleep, motivation and circumstance.
- • Decisions about a child's education, health or supports should never be based on this screening alone.
- • If you are worried about your child regardless of any result here, seek professional advice.
3. No warranty; limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law, whose consumer guarantees are not excluded), we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on screening results, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service.
4. Intellectual property
All screening items, report text and software are original works owned by GiraffeLens. You may print, download and share your child's report freely, including with schools and clinicians. You may not republish, scrape or resell the screening content. GiraffeLens is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the publishers of the WISC-V, WIAT or any other clinical instrument referenced for context.
5. Changes
We may update the service and these terms; material changes will be dated at the top of this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
