Free 2-minute autism check
Free Autism Test for Children
Autism shows up in many ways: how a child connects, plays, copes with change, and handles sounds and textures. This free 2-minute check, built on the same areas clinicians look at, shows whether your child's signs, including the quieter ones that are often missed, are worth a closer look.
- Finds friendships, eye contact or back-and-forth chat hard
- Very upset by changes to routine, or has intense interests
- Over- or under-sensitive to sounds, textures or lights
- Copes at school, then melts down at home (masking)
How often is this true for your child?
Finds it hard to keep a back-and-forth conversation going, beyond their own topic.

What this check looks at
This check covers the two areas that define autism: social communication, and restricted, repetitive and sensory behaviour. The full GiraffeLens screening uses a parent questionnaire across both, plus, for older children, a teen self-report that can reveal masking, and sets it alongside attention and learning, because these often overlap. It never diagnoses autism; it tells you whether an assessment is worth pursuing.
Common questions
Can a quiz diagnose autism?
No. Autism is diagnosed by a qualified team (often a paediatrician, psychologist and speech pathologist) using developmental history, direct observation and information from more than one setting. This check is a starting point, not a conclusion.
What about masking, especially in girls?
Many autistic children, particularly girls, learn to mask, copying others and holding it together at school, then falling apart at home. The check includes these quieter signs, and for ages 11+ the full screening adds the child's own self-report, which is the part most likely to reveal masking.
What does the full screening include?
Free to start and $49 to unlock, it screens autism-related traits alongside cognitive, learning and behavioural areas, with an instant report and PDF and your country's pathway to a formal assessment.

GiraffeLens is an educational screening tool, not a diagnostic instrument. It does not diagnose any condition and is not a substitute for assessment by a registered or licensed psychologist. If you are concerned about your child, speak with your GP, paediatrician or a qualified psychologist.
